WHAT IS INTEGRAL CORE THERAPY?
Integral Core Therapy is integral therapy and transformation.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
It is an integrated modality for psychological therapy and spiritual realisation. It is a system of humanistic, alchemical and mystical principles and practices which facilitate our spiritual and personal unfoldment. It assists in the endeavour to live a complete and spiritual life, one which embraces the entire human condition on all levels.
WHAT DOES SPIRITUAL IMPLY IN THIS CONTEXT?
Spiritual denotes that we exist on several levels including the manifest one and importantly we are integral to all existence. The term integral is based on the Daoist understanding which considers that all that is, both visible and non-visible is connected in a state of resonance. Human beings are described to be equally earthly and heavenly. In other words we have a supernal essential nature which is as real as is our earthly existential nature. Thus all our various constituent parts are intrinsic and integral to each other and crucial to our wholeness and wellness.
WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT OUR INTEGRAL NATURE?
Without it we remain incomplete, enduring a half-lived existence. We can only find a true sense of inner well-being and fulfilment with our personal and transpersonal aspects integrated within each other. With an integral self in charge of our heart, mind and will, we can discover our purpose and meaning. When this authentic self masters our personality we can begin to live our inner truth and realise our potential.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS PURSUING THIS PARADIGM?
The transpersonal benefits are self realisation and the unfoldment of our soul’s destiny. The personal benefits are manifold: primarily the healing of our psyche (soul), soma (body) and ego (personality). This allows a genuine psychological transformation of our wounds into resources and the actualisation of who we are. The capacity for love, joy, insight and beauty can surface from beneath the hurts and distortions of the past, in particular our upbringing.
WHAT IS THE AIM OF THIS MODALITY?
This modality has both humanistic and mystical capacities to facilitate personal development and spiritual unfoldment. It supports this process through a number of transpersonal and psychological and physical practices. Some are primarily therapeutic whilst others mainly cultivating, yet all within an integrated framework. The overall aim is to become increasingly authentic and whole: in touch with our body, vitality, feelings, needs, heart, soul, awareness and supernal nature.
